Bio
Over the last 14 years my career has focused on eCommerce, digital marketing, and the digital enterprise.
As the Chair and General Manager of the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium, I am responsible for sponsor and attendee revenue as well as ensuring that our sponsors, speakers, attendees, and volunteers all have the best possible experience at the Symposium. I lead a team of 40 volunteers as well as media agencies and partners. My mission is to bring together the academic thought leadership of MIT with the hands-on experience of leading, global CIOs.
At UL (Underwriter’s Laboratories) I formulated and implemented digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, email, website re-architecture, content management, and website functional enhancements.
As an eCommerce Project Manager at Monster I directed designers in defining global B2B eCommerce interfaces and then managed developers implementing the interfaces.
At PUMA I led their North American eCommerce operations across seven distinct storefronts, including merchandising, marketing, customer service, order processing, technology and web development.
At Sybase I drafted strategic plan for a failing eCommerce, increasing revenues by 500% in six months.
Prior to my digital career, I founded a startup that recorded business books onto audiocassettes for executives to listen to while the commute.
I earned my MS in Management from the MIT Sloan School and my BS at Cornell University.
