Speaker/Panel Team Member 2014

Sunish is part of the organizing committee for the 2014 MIT CIO Symposium.  Sunish is currently engaged as a business transformation and user experience consultant in Boston USA. His specialization is in organizational strategy and integration of accessibility into product development and usability processes.  He has been involved as advisor or architect for several assistive technology projects within MIT as well as corporations in the financial, media and healthcare industry. Notably in 2005, he directed the development of the world’s first portable reading machine for the blind. 

 

He has a master’s degree in Electrical and computer engineering from University of Central Florida and a BS Honors in Physics and Mathematics. He held various senior engineering and marketing positions in the semiconductor and electronics industry at Silicon Valley firms and later at Texas Instruments.

 

He currently serves on the Board of IEEE’s Consumer Electronics Society and their Future Directions initiatives. He chairs their Home-Health Working group. In 2013, he has served as the President of the New England Chapter for the INCOSE, International Council on Systems Engineering.   He is the principal consultant at Project Starfish, an organization dedicated to serve small and startup businesses and training blind professional to be business consultants and analysts. He is currently serving as the Interim Executive Director of Samarthanam.USA, a non-profit organization in India that empowers disabled individuals with educational, professional and cultural development. Sunish enjoys camping and hiking.
